Britney Spears has spoken out to address a concerning video of her dancing with knives after police arrived to conduct a wellness check.
Fans became worried for the 'Toxic' singer after she shared a video on Instagram showing her dancing with two large knives, which she whipped around close to her exposed stomach and legs.
Warning: Do not try this at home
Spears initially urged people not to worry as she insisted they were 'not real knives', but concerns about her behavior only continued to grow in the time after she posted the clip.

"Cries for help aren't always verbalized," one worried viewer wrote. "Sometimes behavior tells you a lot without saying anything at all."
Spears shared a follow-up post urging people to 'lighten up about the knives' and explaining she was 'copying Shakira', but local police responded to the fears by arriving at Spears' property to conduct a wellness check on the singer and make sure she was okay.
A spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told The LA Times a deputy responded to Spears' home after someone with personal ties to the singer expressed concern about video.

The LAPD then requested a law enforcement wellness check at Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday (27 September).
When they arrived at Spears’ home, the deputy received a call from the Spears' attorney reassuring them she was not in danger. A member of Spears’ security team reiterated that the singer was fine.
In the wake of the check, Spears took to Instagram again to address her followers and offer more context on the initial video.

The post contained yet another video of Spears dancing with knives, while a caption explained: "I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives."
Spears went on to insist that 'no one needs to worry or call the police'.
"I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by!!!," Spears added. "Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks."
Spears' references to Shakira relate to the Colombian singer's performance at the MTV VMAs earlier this month, where she entertained the crowd by dancing with two prop knives.
