Sometimes, roasts go too far, and people get their feelings hurt far more than intended.
While, at many roasts, there are certain things that you may request to not be spoken about, it’s always possible that a jab at some facet of your life will leave you quite upset at the person, regardless if you had already said it was off limits or not.
Even worse, if you aren’t in attendance at a roast and your name is still brought up, you may grow even more frustrated with whoever made a joke at your expense.

Needless to say, this can all lead to some level of social messiness coming out of the roast.
This was the case at the recent roast of Tom Brady on Netflix when a frequent topic of discussion was Brady’s 2022 divorce from now ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen. Gisele, who was not in attendance at the event, caught her fair share of strays at the roast, leading her to reportedly be quite upset when she heard about the myriad of jokes made at her and her family’s expense.
One such person who made reference to Brady’s divorce was Nikki Glaser, a longtime comedian and roaster, who made jokes about Gisele returning her marriage ring and potentially cheating on Brady with her Jiu-Jitsu coach.

Glaser, when asked by TMZ if she believed the jokes at Gisele’s expense were going too far, responded with yet another comedic response: “I feel like she’s been roasting me just by existing my whole life because of how hot she is.”
However, after cracking the joke, Glaser went on to defend the divorce jokes that took place at the roast.
“I didn’t go hard on her. I love her so much, so it was a risk,” Glaser explained, “I hope she will forgive me someday because I absolutely love her.”

While Glaser had minimal ill-intent behind her jokes towards Gisele, she also noted she understood why she would get upset.
However, the tenured comedian also believes that she was simply living up to what was expected of her in a large-scale roast.
“I will totally apologize to her if I ever see her, but you had to go there. It was a roast,” Glaser conceded.
Luckily for Glaser, Brady himself didn’t seem to mind the divorce jokes quite as much as his ex-wife did, though he did take umbrage with other jokes, namely one made by Jeff Ross that took aim at New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft.
