Erika Kirk reflected on her relationship with Charlie Kirk, and she's revealed one of the final moments she had with him before he was killed in a new interview.
Charlie Kirk’s assassination, while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in September, caused a massive stir in the US. While a massive manhunt got underway immediately after, many people’s attention turned to Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, and the couple’s relationship.
The mother and wife has been thrust into the limelight and recently gave an interview to Fox News’ Jesse Watters, exploring her relationship with Kirk. In a lengthy chat, Erika noted that she didn’t even get a chance to kiss her husband goodbye before he was killed.
She did recall a sweet moment she had with Charlie and their daughter, Gigi, the night before he went to the event.
Erika Kirk spoke about her final moments with Charlie (Fox News) She said: “He was so excited, He was like ‘I can’t wait, it is going to be the best’.
“He got up around two o'clock, three-ish to go into the kitchen to grab a snack and our daughter had woken up around that same time.
“We live in a small space, you can kind of hear when everyone is kind of shuffling around, and so she came to our room and she stayed in our bed.
“He always loved when Gigi slept in our bed because she is little, you know, little ones, they kind of curl up inside of you, and they are just nuzzled in.”
She remarked that while the couple do enjoy their children joining them, it can often turn rather chaotic just due to the nature of children being fidgety.
Knowing that her husband was about to embark on his tour the next day, she recalled telling him to do one thing to ensure he got a good enough night's rest.
She continued: “So I said, ‘I want you to have a good night's sleep, go ahead and sleep in her room. And I'll turn the air down so it's nice and cozy in there. I just want you to get a good night’s sleep, so you can be amazing tomorrow’.

"He came in and he grabbed that and then he left. I didn't even get to give him a kiss goodbye."
Following the shooting, authorities arrested suspect Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old American citizen who, when asked why he'd allegedly fired the fatal bullet, reportedly said: "There's too much evil and the guy [Kirk] spreads too much hate."
