Pax had been driving down Los Feliz Boulevard at about 5pm local time on July 29.
The Los Angeles Times reports the incident occurred at the intersection of Los Feliz boulevard and Hobart Boulevard, and the car was 'completely stopped' at the lights at the time, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told the outlet.
This would have been a busy street during rush hour traffic and the driver of the car is said to have got out to check on Pax following the collision.

Witnesses of the crash have said that the incident appeared so severe that they thought Pax had died.
Witnesses of the incident told TMZ they saw Pax lying on the ground and that he was briefly unconscious during the incident, leading some to believe the crash may've been fatal.
Thankfully, paramedics arrived and Pax reportedly woke up. He was in a more stable condition upon being transferred to hospital, despite initial fears of a brain bleed.
