Arnold Schwarzenegger once told Danny DeVito that the religious idea of going to heaven after you die was nothing but a ‘fantasy’, causing fierce debate amongst devoted fans.
Terminator actor Schwarzenegger, 77, and 80-year-old DeVito’s long-standing friendship is one of the most wholesome in Hollywood.
Previously appearing in iconic projects like Twins and Junior together, the pair made headlines last year when appearing at the 2024 Oscars to do a Batman Bit.
Soon after, it was reported that the movie legends would be teaming up again to work on a new project, as per CNN.

“We’re hoping that sooner than later, we’ll have a nice script to go to work,” the Always Sunny in Philadelphia icon said at the time.
But before the idea of another Schwarzenegger-DeVito picture was another possibility, the pair sat down with Interview Magazine to discuss religion.
“What’s in the future for us? What do you think, in terms of our species? Are we going to last? Tell me, oh great leader,” DeVito asked.
In response, the seven-time Mr. Olympia title winner said: "We don’t know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff that I’m not an expert in, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that.

"[...] Except in some fantasy. When people talk about, 'I will see them again in heaven,' it sounds so good, but the reality is that we won’t see each other again after we’re gone.
"That’s the sad part. I know people feel comfortable with death, but I don’t."
And it's fair to say Schwarzenegger's views on what happens after death has left people divided.

One Facebook user wrote: "Fantasy? I believe this is only in his mind not for everyone who believes in Our Lord Jesus Christ...hope the Holy Spirit of God touches his inner being and surrender himself to God in the right time."
"The assumption that our spirit didn't exist before our time on earth is based on the fact we don't remember a time before we were on Earth. However I also don't remember being a one year old and I'm pretty sure that happened. So a lack of memory is not evidence of a lack of existence.
"So all we do know is that no one knows where we came from or where we are heading but I'm not ruling anything out," another added.
However, third commented: "He's correct." And a fourth resolved: "I agree. I will never talk down on someone's beliefs but. He's right once your dead your dead. The fact is faith and belief help people cope with there lives."
