Ben Affleck has revealed what he was actually saying to wife Jennifer Lopez during the Grammys.
In case you missed it, the Batman star, once again, became a meme after viewers spotted him looking a bit down in the dumps during the award’s ceremony back in February.
Footage from the event showed, Affleck, 50, sat beside JLo, 53, but it’s fair to say he didn’t look to be having the best time, while some fans even reckoned his wife had gently scolded him, while unaware they were being filmed.

However, Affleck has now confirmed what was actually going on and has insisted that he had a ‘good time’ at the awards. Maybe he just forgot to tell his face that, eh?
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Affleck said: “No. I had a good time at the Grammys. My wife was going, and I thought, 'Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.'
“At movie award shows, it’s speeches and, like, sound-mixing webinars. But I thought this would be fun.” Fair enough.

Recalling the moment he and Lopez appeared to have a disagreement, he explained: “I saw [host Trevor Noah] and I was like, 'Oh, God.'
“They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling.
"I leaned into her and I was like, 'As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.'”
The star then revealed that his wife wasn’t too happy about that prospect and wasn’t afraid to let him know.

“She goes, ‘You better f**king not leave’,” he went on. “That’s a husband-and-wife thing.
“I mean, some of it is, I’m like, 'All right, who is this act?’ Like, I don’t keep up. My wife does, obviously.
"And yeah, it is your wife’s work event. And I’ve gone to events and been p****d off. I’ve gone and been bored."

Affleck, who has previously been open about his struggles with addiction, also hit out at social media users accusing him of being drunk at the event.
He said: “I’ve gone to award shows and been drunk, a bunch. Nobody ever once said I’m drunk.
"[But at the Grammys] they were like, 'He’s drunk.' And I thought, that’s interesting.
"That raises a whole other thing about whether or not it’s wise to acknowledge addiction because there’s a lot of compassion, but there is still a tremendous stigma, which is often quite inhibiting."

Although this is the first time Affleck has addressed the night, his wife had taken to Instagram shortly after in which she appeared to shut down claims they had had a spat.
Sharing a montage of shots from their evening out on Instagram, Lopez wrote: “Always the best time with my love, my husband.”
