Some of you may not know the name 'Phoebe Gates', but everyone has heard of her dad.
Phoebe is Microsoft founder Bill Gates' youngest daughter.
She's got quite the following on TikTok, boasting nearly 64,000 followers, but she reckons the worst part of being in the public eye is the false opinions others seem to have about her life, her family, and her dad.

She told The Information the greatest downside to posting on the social media app was the 'misconceptions and conspiracy theories'.
"I'm pretty realistic that people start following me because of my family name. And people probably find it funny to see my dad being a goof and playing Boxbollen," Gates said.
"But once they follow me, they stick around, and I think some of that is because of the issues that I post about, like women's health. And honestly, TikTok is fun."
While others are using to share clips of themselves doing silly dances, Gates uses her platform to push for change.

She recently shared a series of clips entitled 'a contraceptive talk with my mom', and makes Gen Z-friendly memes and clips with her take on Roe v Wade, what life is like at Stanford, and documenting her relationship with her (gasp) Black boyfriend.
Yep, apparently, people still take issue with that.
The youngest Gates told The Information she gets roasted every time she posts a picture of her boyfriend, a Black guy who she met while studying at Stanford.
"It's 2023. I'm done being memed for being in an interracial relationship," she said.

Oh, and even though she takes on some pretty big topics with her social media accounts, there is still time for silliness.
Case in point: A clip of her dad playing a 'boxball' game, which has a staggering 8.3 million times since she posted it in December.
Admittedly, it is pure class, and everyone on TikTok seemed to agree.
One user said: "This is better than the Windows 95 launch."
A second TikTokker added: "Finally an answer to the age old question. What do you get the man who has everything."

But, as the 20-year-old said, she's never too far from conspiracy theories.
Another user commented a reference to the rumor that Bill Gates joined convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on his private island, commenting: "Did he play ball [on the] island with them too?"
Another brought up another weird conspiracy theory by adding the comment: "And people think this man is putting chips in them."
Yikes.

But if anyone can press on and use social media for good, it's someone like Phoebe Gates.
