Paris Hilton has brutally shut down a 'ridiculous' Britney Spears conspiracy theory on Instagram.
On Friday (6 January), the socialite shared a series of pics from Cade Hudson’s birthday party with her 21 million followers.
Hilton was pictured alongside the likes of Emma Roberts, Drew Barrymore, Tiffany Haddish and of course, the birthday boy himself.
However, in the third pic, Hilton's selfie with Britney Spears has sparked a bizarre conspiracy theory in the comments.

Some viewers thought the photo was fake and that Hilton used a 'AI of Britney'.
"It's really strange how half the necklace chains are missing in the photo with Britney. And what’s wrong with her fingers?" one person commented.
While a second said: "Like who cares. Where’s Britney?"
"WHY SHE TAG EVERYONE AND NOT BRITNEY??????????" someone else wrote.

Another added: "Why are you using an AI of Britney? If you're her friend why can't you use the real her?"
Hilton decided to hit back at the conspiracy theory, writing: "To all of those asking. Some of these photos were taken on an iPhone so they ended up being blurry.
"So they used this app called Remini to make it look unblurry and sometimes the Ai distorts images.

"Didn’t want to even dignify this with a response.
"But some of these conspiracy theories are absolutely ridiculous."
I mean, Spears' fanbase have never been shy of an opinion, as a recent video of her dancing to JLO's 'Booty' has divided the crowd.

Dressed in very short shorts and a crop top with 'LOVE' written on it, she's seemingly dancing away to the song without a care in the world.
But this didn't go down well with a proportion of her followers, who dubbed the 'Toxic' singer as 'painful to watch'.
One person said: "Doesn’t even look like Britney." while a second thought: "Britney this is the lowest you have been what’s happening."

And a third fan said: "Ugh it’s painful to watch."
However, some viewers took the video in a totally different way, as one commenter said: "She does not look well."
But some disagreed, as one fan hit back: "It's not at all. It's beautiful watching her become more comfortable and at home in her own body. If it's painful for you maybe ya should f**ken scroll rather than engage so you'll (try to) see less of her?"
"I never know what she’s doing but she’s having fun and I’m here for it," a second fan wrote.
While another person pointed out: "It's so weird Britney gets bullied for dancing around in her house/room as if everyone else doesn't do that.
"You guys are as bad as her family sometimes."
