Cameron Diaz has revealed she ignores one basic rule of human hygiene that will shock a lot of people - but she has a very good reason.
The 51-year-old is one of the most recognised faces in Hollywood after many stellar film appearances over the years.
And while she may be best known for starring in the likes of Annie, Sex Tape and Gambit, she's taken a bit of a step away from the spotlight in recent years.

In the past, Diaz has opened up about her skincare routine, revealing the one basic rule of human hygiene that the actor decides to ignore.
Opening up to Michelle Visage on her BBC Rule Breakers podcast back in 2022, Diaz admitted she was embracing her new side of life away from the fame.
"The last eight years, girl – I’m like wild. I’m like a wild animal, like a beast!" she joked.

Beforehand, the star found herself falling victim to 'all the societal objectification and exploitations that women are subjected to', particularly in Hollywood.
Constantly comparing herself to others, Diaz said it was 'hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against other markers of beauty'.
And in 2022, Diaz decided to ditch the out-dated beauty standards in favour of being more comfortable in her own skin.
That even means forgetting to wash her face.

"I literally do nothing. I like never wash my face," the A-lister revealed. "Twice a month if I'm lucky, I'll be like, ‘Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?’ Like is that all I have to do? I'm just not in that place right now like where I put any energy."
The Holiday star recalled sitting in front of a mirror every day having make-up applied, describing the whole ordeal as 'toxic'.
"You just start to pick yourself apart," Diaz explained. "And you're like, ‘Why I am sitting here like being so mean to myself?’ My body's strong, my body's capable.

"Why am I going to talk down to it? Why am I going to be mean to it when it's like carried me this far?"
Diaz is finally over those toxic beauty standards, as she simply 'doesn’t care' what she looks like nowadays.
"I don't care. Literally, the last thing I think about on a daily basis – like maybe not at all during the day – is what I look like," she said.
