Cardi B has been forced to defend herself after she called out the Dalai Lama. This was due to a viral video of the spiritual healer kissing a child that began circulating online last weekend.
The footage was posted via social media and has since drawn widespread criticism. Rapper Cardi B - real name Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar - is just one of the many who took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the video.
The original video is two-minute, five seconds long and sees Dalai Lama kissing a child, before allegedly telling him to âsuck his tongueâ. He also tells the child, âto look at those good human beings who created peace and happiness and not follow those who kill other people.â

Since the footage went viral, the spiritual leader has been forced to apologise for his actions.
In a statement circulated via the Tibetanâs head office, itâs said that âHis Holiness wishes to apologise to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused.â
âHis Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way,â the statement continues. âEven in public and before cameras. He regrets the incident.â

However on Monday 10 April, Cardi had her say on the situation. She tweeted, âThis world is full of predators. They prey on the innocent. The ones who are most unknowing, our children.â
âPredators could be our neighbours, our school teachers, even people [with money. power [and] our churches,â she continued. âConstantly talk with your kids about boundaries and what they shouldnât allow people to do to them.â
Since her original tweet, the I Like It star had doubled down on her sentiments aimed at Dalai Lama.
In another tweet she wrote, âI donât gottaâ watch my words⌠I know exactly what I mean from the time you start potty training your kids you should tell them donât let nobody touch your privates, enter the bathroom with you and donât keep no secrets away from mommy.â

However, Cardi has also been forced to back up her views. This was prompted after a troll took to one of her recent Instagram posts and wrote, âIâm sorry I just donât want predator PSAs from a former/current predator.â
Cardi clapped back at the troll and wrote, âYou saying that but you following me in my DM and commenting about my son but Iâm a predator?â
When another commenter brought up her âdrugging and robbing pastâ, Cardi decided to go Live on Instagram to address the commentary and dispel rumours.

âYaâll not gonna keep doing this,â she said. âFor yaâll to said that Iâm some predator⌠because [they] wanted to buy some p*ssy from me? These werenât no vulnerable men⌠Did I touch their body? No. Robbing and raping is two different type of sh*ts.â
Having the final word on the situation, Cardi wrote via Twitter that despite the trolling, she was happy about the support her fans were giving her.
