Chappell Roan has deleted her tribute to Brigitte Bardot, who passed away at the age of 91.
The French actress and model's death was announced earlier this week via a statement made by The Brigitte Bardot Foundation, reading: "The Brigitte Bardot Foundation announces with immense sadness the death of its founder and president, Madame Brigitte Bardot, a world-renowned actress and singer, who chose to abandon her prestigious career to dedicate her life and energy to animal welfare and her foundation."
It remains unclear when Bardot passed away, but she is believed to have died at her home in the south of France.
Following the announcement, celebrities began sharing their tributes, including Roan, who wrote on social media: “Rest in peace Ms. Bardot. She was my inspiration for red wine supernova.”

In the track, Roan sings: "She was a playboy, Brigitte Bardot/ She showed me things I didn’t know/ She did it right there out on the deck/ Put her canine teeth in the side of my neck.”
However, just 24 hours later, Roan took to her social media again, admitting she had no idea about some of Bardot's controversial political beliefs.
"I did not know all that insane s**t Ms. Bardot stood for obvs I do not condone this. very disappointing to learn," she wrote.
Despite having a hugely successful acting career and then going on to become an animal rights activist, Bardot had some pretty controversial far-right views.

She was convicted five times in France for inciting racial hatred, and in her 2003 book, Un Cris dans le Silence, she described the LGBTQ+ community as 'fairground freaks'.
She also spoke about the #MeToo movement and said many claims were 'ridiculous'.
“Many actresses flirt with producers to get a role,” she told Paris Match.
“Then when they tell the story afterwards, they say they have been harassed…in actual fact, rather than benefit them, it only harms them.
“I thought it was nice to be told that I was beautiful or that I had a pretty little a**.
“This kind of compliment is nice.”

The news of Bardot's death comes just weeks after her representatives were forced to deny that she was unwell and had been hospitalized with a 'serious illness'.
Addressing the reports that she was seriously unwell, her foundation said: "In response to the spread of false information in recent days, Ms Brigitte Bardot would like to remind everyone that she is currently recovering, that she would appreciate it if people would respect her privacy, and invites everyone to calm down."
It added: "Ms Bardot wishes to reassure those who are genuinely concerned about her. She sends them this message: 'I send my love to you all.'"
