Dave Bautista is having a major Hollywood moment - but he's worried he might be missing out.
The wrestler-turned-actor is perfect in action-adventures like Guardians of the Galaxy, murder mysteries like Glass Onion, and psychological thrillers like Knock at the Cabin.
Deep down, though, there's one genre that Dave really wants to try his hand at: and that's rom-coms.

Yes, Dave Bautista wants to be Matthew McConaughey chasing Kate Hudson to the airport, he wants to be Hugh Grant standing in front of Julia Roberts in a quaint English book shop, and he also wants to be Billy Crystal realising he has fallen in love with his best friend Meg Ryan on New Year's Eve.
But for some reason, despite his best efforts, Dave has never managed to land a role in a rom-com, and it's starting to affect his self esteem.
"I'm a little rough around the edges," the actor admitted recently to Page Six.

"But I always, you know, I look in the mirror, and I say, I ask myself, 'Am I that unattractive? Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?'"
He continued: "I don't know. It's just never come my way. I've never had an offer to do a rom-com. I still have high hopes. I'll just keep searching."
Well, that has absolutely shattered my heart into pieces.
Dave's appearance seems to get him type-cast into more villainous roles, including the likes of Assassin Mr Hinx in 2015's Spectre, and Glossu Rabban in Dune.

And fans are already looking at Dave for similar antagonist roles like Batman's Bane and Superman's Lex Luthor.
Sure, he can play that scary tough guy really well, but Dave Bautista is a man with layers and he's ready to show people what he's made of.
So now suddenly, more than anything in the world, I need to see Dave Bautista in a rom com.

It's not like actors who are 'a little rough around the edges' have never been cast roles like this before.
Javier Bardem (the scariest man alive thanks to his role in No Country For Old Men) got his Julia Roberts moment in Eat, Pray, Love.
Jack Black had a chance to romance Kate Winslet in classic Christmas rom-com The Holiday.
And, sorry to bring up Billy Crystal again but... Billy Crystal.

If all those guys can do get the part and win the girl, there's absolutely no reason that Dave Bautista can't.
Hollywood, do your thing!
