Foo Fighters frontman David Grohl has received widespread praise online for his heart-warming and hilarious response to 'fans' asking for his autograph.
If I ever spot a celebrity in the street, I'm normally too nervous to approach them, or take the mindset that they probably don't want to be interrupted when simply going about their day-to-day lives.
Grohl may be the frontman of Foo Fighters and the former drummer of Nirvana, but once out of the stage doors, he is simply a 53-year-old man who has his own normal life sh*t to be getting on with.

However, these fans simply wouldn't take no for an answer, with Grohl left to offer various explanations as to why he wouldn't give them an autograph and try multiple tactics in order to finally escape.
Social media users have since flooded to support him online.
The poor man was simply trying to get to his car and had probably stepped just metres outside of a building, when who should he faced with, but a pack of predatory 'fans'.

In the footage, in response to the multiple requests being hurled at him, Grohl states: "I'm going to say it one more time, I stopped signing sh*t unless it's for charity. That's it."
However, the supposed 'fans' simply wouldn't take no for an answer, continuing to hound the star, with one requesting he sign something addressed to their son and another to take a selfie.
The musician began: "Here's the other thing... See ya," before he comically sprinted off to the safety of his vehicle.

The video, posted by u/mmuffinfluff is titled, 'These people have no shame. Poor Dave Grohl', and other Reddit users were quick to echo the sentiment.
A baffled user reflected: "These people." Another wrote, "All they’re gonna do is turn around and put that memorabilia on ebay and Dave knows it."
One couldn't help but praise Grohl's clever and humorous exit strategy. "That exit was gold," they stated.
A fourth wrote: "The fact he took the time to explain rather than just doing the very tempting (& probably right) thing of just fully ignoring them, shows he’s a true class act."
