Dennis Rodman is now the proud owner of a great big tattoo of his girlfriend splashed across his cheek – which the tattoo artist has assured is ‘really real’.
Basketball champion Rodman, 62, is covered in tattoos and piercings, so it’s hardly a surprise when we see him sporting a new one.
This time round, however, it’s something a little bit more eye-catching – not just because it’s across his face, but also because it’s a large portrait of his girlfriend.

Rodman went to see Black Ink Crew’s Van Johnson yesterday (Thursday 6 June) to get inked up at the artist’s home.
Even Johnson had to admit the artwork was ‘pretty random’, but said Rodman sat through the needlework like a ‘champ’.
Posting a video of the finished product on Instagram, Johnson said: “So I ain’t do too much today, cooled out at my townhome tattooed a living legends face of his woman on his face, that’s about it…. What y’all do?”
The video shows a close-up of his girlfriend’s face, neatly tattooed onto Rodman’s right cheek.

As the camera pans out, we then see his partner’s reaction – who, thankfully, squeals in delight when she sees the extreme tribute.
And if anyone thinks Rodman’s playing us all with a fake tattoo, Johnson confirmed the ode to his girlfriend was very much the real deal.
He told TMZ Sports that it was ‘really real’, saying the job took a little over an hour to complete.

"He was a champ, he sat through it," Johnson said.
"Pretty random, but he love the hell out that girl."
While Rodman and his partner seemed pretty delighted with the new tat, fans commenting on Instagram weren’t quite so convinced.

“You should have tried to talk him outta that my G,” one said.
Someone else said: “His girlfriend should have been against that. Shows her immaturity to NOT STOP him from doing this.”
A third said ‘anywhere but the face’, while a fourth wrote: “I think you should have declined this one my G.”
Others, however, chose to commend Johnson on his skills, with one writing: “I always say when I'm for that picture tatt, you will be that man to do the masterpiece. Love your work brother!”

Another agreed: “To old for that s**t… but great tat.”
Fingers crossed they stay together forever, eh?
