What could perhaps be the most absurd way to settle a public dispute is now becoming more realistic, as Elon Musk has started training with a black-belt holder to prepare for his cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg.
It all started after a Twitter user shared rumours that Zuckerberg was creating a rival platform to Twitter, which Musk bought for $43 billion in 2022.

The viral exchange on Twitter had Musk saying: “I’m up for a cage match if he is,” with the Meta founder responding “Send me location.”
UFC president Dana White has since chipped in to confirm the pair are ‘dead serious' about facing off in a UFC match.
Lex Fridman, host of the Lex Fridman Podcast and Research Scientist at MIT, posted photos on his Instagram yesterday (27 June) of a training session with Musk.

He captioned the post and mentioned: “I did an impromptu training session with Elon Musk for a few hours yesterday.
I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground.”
Fridman seems to be playing ‘Switzerland’ in all the chaos as Zuckerberg also turned to the scientist for some one on one martial arts training. How does this add up you’re probably wondering?

In the post made on his Instagram two days ago, Fridman said in the caption: “Here’s a highlight video of @zuck and I training jiu jitsu. I look forward to training with Elon as well.”
He made sure to add his praise of the two celebrities, whom he respects equally.
He said: “It’s inspiring to see both Elon and Mark taking on the martial arts journey.”

The reality of this seeing itself through is becoming more of a possibility, with family members of the two sharing their insights.
Elon Musk’s mom appears to be not so fond of the idea, as she’s begging people to stop encouraging the rift between him and Mark Zuckerberg.
Maye Musk has made it clear, as mothers do, that violence is not the answer and urges the pair to avoid such a physical altercation.

She wrote: “No joking. Fight with words only. In armchairs. 4 feet apart. The funniest person wins.”
If the fight were to come into fruition, the money generated would quite frankly be exponential - not that either of the billionaires need the cash.
Until then, we will continue to wait for the genuine confirmation we all hope to see.
