People have flooded to social media in disdain after a TikToker revealed they purchased tickets to a Harry Styles concert for $10,000.

Now, I have to admit, I used to love a bit of One Direction - and I think it's fair to say Harry Styles has just gotten better and better as the years have gone by.

However, if I had $10,000 (£8,700) sitting idyly in my bank account, would my first instinct be to spend it on a ticket to go and see him live? No offence Harry, but it would not.

Think about how many takeaways, pints or holidays you could buy with that money? How you could put it towards a flat deposit? Or just keep it safely tucked away amid a growing cost of living crisis?

Social media users agree and have flocked to platforms to question one TikToker's hefty spending of over $10,000 to see the Watermelon Sugar singer live.

In a since-deleted TikTok video, Tara Lynn explained how she bought two tickets online for $890 each.

However, on her way to the concert, Lynn realised the tickets had never been sent to her email despite having received confirmation of purchase.

The TikToker claims when she called the ticket selling company, a customer service representative refused to speak to her properly, said they couldn't reach the ticket seller and sounded like they were 'at a bar'.

Tara Lynn ended up finding two tickets on Vivid Seats and Seat Geek costing $4,200 each.

She said the company then offered to sell her balcony seats instead but Lynn declined - having initially purchased pit seats.

Instead, Lynn and her friend found pit tickets which came to a mega $4,200 each via Vivid Seats and Seat Geek.

While Lynn and her friend were overjoyed to have not missed out on the chance to see Styles live, Lynn's followers were far from amused she spent so much money pursuing a pair of tickets.

A Twitter user wrote: "I can't get over the girl on tiktok who spent $10,000 on Harry Styles tickets saying 'nooo like I finna be in the pit' lmfaoooooo like girl what are you even saying!!!!"

"This is the most entitled tone deaf video i have ever seen… spending 10.000 dollars on harry styles tickets bc 'what other choice do I have' and expecting ppl to feel sorry for her," another said.

"Brb selling a kidney just so I can roll around in the pit of a Harry concert," one TikToker commented.

Social media users were not amused with how much Lynn spent on the tickets.

Lynn has since responded to the backlash in a follow-up video.

The TikToker said: "Everyone's always like, 'Be transparent in your videos'. And then I'm transparent and everyone's like, 'This is the most un-relatable thing I've ever seen, go die'.

"I want to get one thing very clear with you guys. If I only had $10,000 in my bank account, I'd spend it on Harry. I'm not saying that's a flex of any sort, I'm just being real."
