Players who have been diving head first into Hogwarts Legacy have uncovered a beautiful tribute to the late Robbie Coltrane.
The actor portrayed the legendary character Hagrid in the film series and he tragically died last year.
One gamer filmed themselves on a broomstick heading south from the clocktower at Hogwarts.

Once you get to where Hagrid's hut is in the Harry Potter video game, you'll find a small tombstone that has a Hippogriff on it.
While some might not think twice about the site, those with a decent memory will remember Hagrid's companion Buckbeak, who first appeared in The Prisoner of Azkaban.
There isn't anything on the gravestone, however many believe it's a nod towards Hagrid and Robbie's impact on the film series.

Hogwarts Legacy is set in the late 1800s, which is a century before the events contained in the Harry Potter novels.
So, technically there shouldn't be any reference of any characters or events from the books in the video game.
But it's still beautiful to see the developers pay tribute to Coltrane.
According to the Mirror, the actor's death certificate showed that he died of multiple organ failure as well as sepsis, a lower respiratory tract infection and heart block.

Sepsis is a severe reaction reaction to an infection that causes a person's immune system to go into overdrive and can lead to organ failure.
Heart block, meanwhile, is when a person's heart beats either slowly or differently to its normal rhythm and is caused by an electrical pulse issue.
That's not the only nod to the book series in the video game as players have noticed they can now 'visit' the place Professor Dumbledore died.

Even though his death was pre-planned, it didn't stop everyone from reaching for the tissue box when they either read it or saw it on the big screen.
Professor Snape used the killing curse on the Hogwarts headmaster at the highest point of the school during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower.
One gamer tipped off players on the HarryPotterGame subreddit, writing: "You can go visit the spot where Dumbledore fell off the tower, except that there's no way to fall on the ground from there.
"So, we can only assume that canonically this is what happened."

The post was accompanied with a diagram of the Hogwarts tower to show the route of the late headmaster's fall.
According to the picture, the fall was the farthest thing from linear.
However, fans were quick to note that the architecture of Hogwarts does not obey the rules of bricks and mortar like how it does in the Muggle world.
Players can also visit the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets and also a Polyjuice potion brewing in a bathroom stall.
There's also a nod to Ron’s rat Scabbers in the form of the Transfiguration icon.
