Fans stunned after spotting who Jenna Ortega has as her lockscreen photo

Fans stunned after spotting who Jenna Ortega has as her lockscreen photo

Despite appearing at one of fashion's biggest nights, all eyes were on Ortega's lock screen rather than her custom couture.

Jenna Ortega has broken the internet – again!

The Wednesday actor first went viral thanks to her iconic dance in the horror series, with the clip being remixed to ‘Bloody Mary’ by Lady Gaga.

Now the 20-year-old actor is going viral all over again, thanks to her appearance at the Met Gala.

Unlike other A-listers, the Scream VI star isn’t making headlines for her outfit.

Attending the biggest night in the fashion calendar, Ortega took inspiration from her gothic character and wore a pitch-black custom couture gown.

Though the Met Gala has a notoriously strict schedule, set out by Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, the actor was able to quickly greet fans as she rushed inside.

However, most were not focusing on who she was wearing but who was on her lock screen, with eagle-eyed fans noticing a familiar face.

Surprisingly, it was none other than her Wednesday co-star Emma Myers.

The pair have formed a close friendship since appearing on the Netflix series together, so much so that Ortega has spoken about their strong bond.

Calling her an ‘amazing scene partner’, the actor gushed about Myers during an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast earlier this year.

“It was mostly just the two of us goofing around,” she admitted, adding: “We’re still really good friends and we have a great relationship in real life. I’m really glad that we got to be together.”

Ortega would even send voice notes and sing songs to Myers, saying that she just felt ‘comfortable’ around the actor – who plays Enid in the hit TV show.

Continuing, she told listeners: “She's one of my closest friends. I think we have a different dynamic off screen, but I still don't think it's any less important or deep or beautiful than Enid and Wednesday's."

Understandably, fans are just as hyped about the pair’s friendship, with a clip of Ortega’s Met Gala arrival going viral on social media.

Users have even been sharing the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment on Twitter as they react online, with one fan writing: “I need a friendship like Emma and Jenna are you kidding me.”

Others quickly followed, with another adding: “Emma and Jenna are the ultimate. Nothing beats having your bestie as your lockscreen! Adorable!”

However, fans may be seeing less of the dynamic duo on screen due to the ongoing writers’ strike and Ortega’s increasingly hectic schedule, having just landed a role in Beetlejuice 2.
