It’s no secret that Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande seemed to have a love-hate relationship while on Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat.
There are fan-made videos about the pair’s relationship whilst working on the sitcom, and McCurdy has even admitted in interviews that she was ‘jealous’ of the pop star's rise to global success while they worked together.
Now, the former actor has said she now finds it ‘funny’ how she used to be envious of her co-star at the time.

She told Vogue in a recent interview: “I’m able to look back on it and just see it as the comedy gold that it is, to be on set at 21, where you’re just the most susceptible to jealousy and comparison that you can possibly be, and I’m there across from a burgeoning pop star of the day.
“Like, that is just so funny to me, and I tried to capture that humour,” she said, speaking of working with the 'Positions' singer, which she touched upon in her newest written release I’m Glad My Mom Died.
In the book, McCurdy wrote: “The week where I was told Ariana would not be here at all, and that they would write around her absence this episode by having her character be locked in a box.

“So I have to turn down movies while Ariana’s off whistle-toning at the Billboard Music Awards? F***. This.”
And to make matters worse: “Ariana misses work in pursuit of her music career while I act with a box,” McCurdy quipped.
The iCarly star also claimed in her memoir that she was offered thousands of dollars in 'hush money' to ensure she wouldn't publicly discuss her time at Nickelodeon or experiences with a man she worked with, referred to as 'The Creator'.

The 30-year-old alleged that Nickelodeon presented her with $300,000 (£248,498) to keep quiet over the alleged abuse she faced at the network.
In an excerpt published by Vanity Fair, McCurdy doesn’t mention her alleged abuser by name, but refers to him as ‘The Creator’ and explains that he urged her to drink alcohol aged 18, while in the US the legal drinking age is 21.
She also claimed he massaged her shoulders in an inappropriate manner, writing: “I want to say something, to tell him to stop, but I’m so scared of offending him.”
