Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck shared an emotional moment at their wedding ceremony last weekend, having ‘cried to each other’ as they finally tied the knot 20 years after first breaking up.
Lopez announced the news in the latest edition of her On the JLo newsletter, telling fans how she and Affleck had flown to ‘the wedding capital of the world’ and ‘stood in line for a licence’ with four other couples.
And the ceremony was suitably poignant, it seems, with one chapel worker revealing how the pair were in tears as they became husband and wife.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Kenosha Portis recalled how Lopez and Affleck had rocked up to the Las Vegas venue just as it was closing.
“They were very sweet and they both were emotional, they cried to each other,” she said.
“The kids were right there behind them. She had on a nice elegant beige lacy-type dress, it had a train on it.

“The veil was beautiful, everything was very sleek and beautiful. She was stunning.”
Lopez and Affleck first dated back in 2002 and announced their engagement that year, but ended up splitting up just two years later.
Lopez went on to have two children with third husband Marc Anthony before having a relationship with baseball player Alex Rodriguez. After becoming engaged to Rodriguez in 2019, their wedding was postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the duo announcing in April 2021 that they had called time on things.

Meanwhile, Affleck was married to actor Jennifer Garner between 2005 to 2018, during which time they had three children - daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.
Sharing their new married status with fans in her newsletter on Sunday 17 July, Lopez wrote: "We did it."
In the message, which she signed off as 'Jennifer Lynn Affleck', the singer said: "Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.

"Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.
"Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday - all of us wanting the same thing - for the world to recognise us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage."
Lopez said they 'barely made it' to the wedding chapel by midnight, but that staff 'graciously' kept the venue open to let them take photos in a pink Cadillac convertible.

She thanked the Little White Wedding chapel for letting her use the 'break room to change', while Affleck got dressed in the men's room, saying everything culminated to create the 'best night' of their lives.
"They were right when they said, 'all you need is love'," Lopez added.
"We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to."
