Jeremy Renner continues with his recovery almost six months after a horrific accident where he was hit by a snowplough.
The actor had been spending time with his family near his home in Lake Tahoe when he had to be airlifted to hospital after trying to save his nephew from his vehicle.
The brake indicator light on Renner's snowplough had not been working, resulting in him exiting the vehicle without the emergency brake being on and it rolling down towards his relative.

Renner was pulled under his own vehicle and run over, causing him serious harm which had some worried that he might not survive, though in the months since the horrific incident he has been making impressive progress with his recovery.
Three months after being airlifted to hospital he was able to show fans that he was walking again and has since made some public appearances.
Instagram activity from the star looks like more good news for fans of Renner, as he recently posted that he'd been down by Lake Tahoe for a day on the water with his family.

He also shared a picture of himself sitting on a paddleboard on the water while being rowed around, all while the background was full of the kind of scenery they'd stick in a tourist brochure.
It's another encouraging sign of the progress he's made with his recovery since the horrific accident.
Just a few months ago Renner was in hospital fighting for his life after suffering near-fatal injuries, now he's well enough to be heading outdoors for a day on the local lake with his family.
The actor revealed that things got so bad during his recovery that he wrote goodbye messages to his family and credited his nephew Alex for saving his life, saying he was convinced he'd not have made it without help.

Following his accident and hospitalization, Renner's sister said he was 'crushing' all the goals set as milestones for his recovery, so the 52-year-old is doing brilliantly.
In his first interview since the accident, he revealed that he broke more than 30 bones and was conscious the whole time the 14,330 pound machine was running over him.
He revealed that at first he had to use sign language to communicate with his family as he couldn't speak.

Airlifted to hospital after almost being killed in the crush, Renner was released 17 days later and said he was very lucky that the vehicle hadn't run over him in a different way.
Renner said he was fortunate that it 'missed every vertebra, didn't hit any organs, didn't hit my brain', any of which could have caused him irreparable damage.
His eye did pop out and his liver was pierced, but it could have been so much worse.
