Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit regarding allegedly unsafe conditions at his school, the Donda Academy.
Isaiah Meadows, a former gym teacher at the school, filed the lawsuit on Thursday, claiming wrongful termination, breach of contract, and violations of multiple health and safety codes.
According to Page Six, Meadows claims he was terminated in August 2022 after reporting several safety issues to the school, including that the window frames had no glass in them.

The Guardian reports that Meadows started working as an assistant principal at Yeezy Christian Academy, which has since become Donda Academy, in 2020 and was making just $18,400 a year (AUD $27,743).
He was promised rental assistance to be able to afford a house closer to the Calabasas school, but Meadows says after three months his rental assistance was terminated.
Meadows said he was then suspended from his position after raising several concerns about the school's safety.

In the lawsuit, Meadows said the school’s main classroom did not have glass in its skylight 'because [Ye] expressed that he did not like glass'.
He claimed this resulted in water pouring into the classroom and causing a mouldy smell.
“In the middle of the main classroom, a skylight was left without glass, inevitably allowing rain to fall directly inside, where water would soak into the floor, which would lead to a mouldy smell for the next few days,” the suit alleged.

Meadows also claimed poor electrical wiring at Yeezy Christian Academy caused 'an electrical fire started near the student eating area'.
The former assistant principal alleged the school also lacked access to 'working hot water to effectively wash hands or other items which then created serious sanitation issues' and had issues with the septic tank, which would 'overflow every other day, causing a terrible smell'.
Meadows was eventually reinstated in a lesser role, but in August 2022, two weeks before the Autumn semester began, he was terminated and told he would not be returning to the school.
According to Page Six, in April, former Donda Academy teachers Cecilia Hailey and Chekarey Byers filed a lawsuit against West, the school and its directors for alleged racial discrimination and wrongful termination.

In their suit, the teachers claimed they were discriminated against based on their race, had wages illegally withheld and were fired in March 2023 in retaliation for reporting health and safety concerns.
Donda Academy closed in 2022 following a series of anti-Semitic comments made by West.
