American actor Kat Dennings has welcomed comments comparing her to fellow actor Brendan Fraser.
While Dennings is most famously known for her characters Max Black in 2 Broke Girls and Darcy Lewis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, others may recognise her face from somewhere completely different.
Dennings, 36, has embraced her fans dubbing the George of the Jungle star, 53, her lookalike.

Taking to Twitter, the Marvel actor revealed: "I was told in a meeting once that I look exactly like Brendan Fraser and not a day goes by when I don’t think about it in a good way."
The acknowledgement of the facial similarities has since left the internet buzzing with reactions.
Supporting the 2 Broke Girls star, one Twitter user posted: "That's a high compliment."
"I didn’t see it before, but it’s true. Now I’m even more in love with you both!" commented a second.

A third echoed: "I can’t un-see it now!"
However, some clearly didn't agree with the comparison.
"What?? That's bananas," wrote one person.
"Oh you guys look nothing alike," said a fifth.
While some could not see the uncanny resemblance at all, they still rushed to share their love for The Mummy star: "I don’t see it but both of you are pretty as hell to be honest."

"Being compared to an intelligent, funny, attractive, decent human being is nothing but a compliment! Given that? I certainly see the resemblance," added another who, instead, vouched for the similar personality traits the two actors share.
And the praise for Fraser doesn't stop there.
The 53-year-old has been congratulated for his incredible transformation into a 600lbs man using prosthetics for his role of Charlie in the new movie, The Whale.
The actor has since accepted a major pre-Oscars accolade, the TIFF Tribute Award, for his impressive performance.

Dennings and Fraser are certainly not the first celebrity pairing to be called each others' lookalikes – think Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel, or Will Ferrel and Chad Smith.
Scientists have taken the phenomenon one step further after finding out that doppelgängers are highly likely to share similar strands of DNA with each other.
Through their study, the Spanish researchers found 'a rare insight into human likeness'.

The scientists concluded that 'people with extreme lookalike faces share common genotypes'.
