Katy Perry says she constantly gets mistaken for Katy Perry

Katy Perry has joked that she often gets mistaken for herself while out and about with her baby daughter.

Perry, 38, is mum to two-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom, who she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

Speaking to The Cut, the singer explained she often gets mistaken for herself while out at mum and baby groups with Daisy.

When asked if she gets recognised much, Katy explained people often say she 'looks just like Katy Perry'.

"We do a lot of mommy-and-me classes. This morning, I was with her at a ballet class, and this woman goes, 'Oh my god, you look so much like Katy Perry'," she said.

"And I was like, 'Hi, nice to meet you. I care about my kid and take her to classes'. I’ve become a member at all the museums — we go to the zoo, the Natural History Museum, the kids’ museum. That’s my new club."

Perry said she often gets recognised while out riding her bike too - but says by the time people realise it's her, she's already cycled away.

"I like to grab a coffee and an empanada and just drink my coffee and eat my empanada while I’m on my bike. People do recognize me, but by the time they’re like, 'Is that …? Was that …?' I’m already gone," she added.

The mum-of-one also spoke about her new routine with her little one, explaining she tries not to stay up past 10pm, due to the early starts.

"I really try not to stay up past 10pm anymore, because I know my baby is going to be up at 6am. Whether I put her to bed at seven, eight, or nine, come 6am, she’s up. So I have to count the hours backward from that. The clock is ticking," she explained.

Perry and Bloom welcomed their baby girl in August 2020. The pair met back in 2016 at a Golden Globes after-party and have been engaged since Valentine’s Day in 2019.

Although many believe the pair have already secretly wed, Perry responded to the rumours back in February, during an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Referring to the pandemic, she said: "We're still trying to work out destination/location. Every couple of months there's a 'new variant', 'new variant', 'new variant.'"
