Many of us don't like to think too much about death, but Keanu Reeves has revealed he thinks about it 'all the time'.

Reeves, 59, made the admission during a recent interview, explaining that now he's getting older, it's something he often ponders over.

Reeves is one of the best-loved actors of all time and is known for his roles in The Matrix and John Wick saga.

He's known for being down to Earth and one of the nicest names in Hollywood.

There are plenty of accounts of the actor being a top guy, with movie crews that have worked with him singing his praises.

Now, in a change from his usual acting work, Reeves is promoting something totally different - his first novel.

The Book of Elsewhere, which was written with science fiction author China Miéville, tells the story of an immortal warrior who wants to die.

It's based on the successful BRZRKR comic book series, which was created by Reeves back in 2021.

"I love the images," Keanu said, speaking of comics.

"I love words and storytelling and I love the way that you can have this engagement that overlays.

"And so you can look at the art and then you can follow the story."

It seems the book has left Reeves reflecting on his own life, after he revealed he thinks about death a lot.

"I'm 59, so I'm thinking about death all the time," he told BBC News.

"Hopefully it's not crippling, but hopefully it's sensitised [us] to an appreciation of the breath we have, and the relationships that we have the potential to have."

Keanu's book promo comes after he was spotted with girlfriend, Alexandra Grant at the MotoGP Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix in Germany last week.

The pair went public with their relationship back in 2019 and seem to be super happy together.

Last year, when asked to name his 'last moment of bliss,' Reeves told People: "A couple of days ago with my honey. We were in bed. We were connected.

"We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together."

Meanwhile, Alexandra has called Reeves her 'inspiration'.

The pair had been friends for years before they eventually started dating.
