Kevin Hart has taken to Instagram to share an emotional tribute after his dad died.
The actor and comedian took to the social media platform to announce the news that his father had passed away.
Hart's signed off a heartfelt tribute to his dad, Henry Robert Witherspoon, and told him to 'give mom a hug for me' while saying 'y'all did good' as a parent.
Writing in tribute to his father on Instagram, the actor and comedian promised never to forget his dad and praised him for teaching him how to be a father himself.
He wrote: "RIP to one of the realest & rawest to ever do it…Love you dad.
"Gone but never forgotten….Give mom a hug for me….y’all did good man. Thank you for everything….I’m a better father because of you.
"We will all make you proud."
The post was accompanied by a series of pictures of Hart and his dad together, including plenty of family shots of them spending happy times together.
Many have reached out to Hart to offer the star their condolences on the death of his dad, with Usain Bolt and Ludacris among those who sent him messages of support during this difficult time.
Plenty have been 'sending love and prayers' to Hart and his family while telling him he 'gave him the best years of his life filled with families, memories, and lots of laughter'.
Others said they were glad Hart's dad 'got to see you on top of the world' during his lifetime and encouraged the star to take comfort in that.
The comedian's fans also sent their own love and well wishes to Hart and his family, letting him know of their 'endless love' for him and offering his family their prayers.
Hart first made his name as a successful stand up comedian before making the leap to becoming a movie star in Hollywood.
The star has also released a number of his own comedy albums which have been nominated for Grammy awards.
People also love him for the ongoing fun-poking feud he has with friend Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, with the friendship between the Jumanji co-stars a heartwarming sight to see.
In 2017 he opened up about his relationship with his father on The Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert, saying he'd patched up a previously rocky relationship.
He said that when it came to his relationship with his dad 'I don't have time to be angry' and praised his father for 'focusing on being the best grandparent that he possibly can'.
