Kid Rock made a surprise appearance at JBJ’s Nashville over the weekend and is now likely thinking he probably shouldn’t have bothered.
He headed down to the venue owned by Jon Bon Jovi on February 8 for a birthday celebration in honor of his band’s keyboardist David Bryan.
Bryan seemed to enjoy his birthday all the same, taking to Instagram to share a video of him in the middle of a solo.

He captioned the video: “THANK YOU FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! Rocking at @jbjsnash last night with @bigkennytv!”

With that said, Rock walking off probably didn’t help the festivities.
After arriving on stage, there were cheers from the crowd and he and the other musicians on stage did a rendition of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 1969 hit 'Proud Mary'.

About a minute into the song, Rock began to clap his hands and encouraged the crowd to do the same. However, not enough people seemed to be joining in, much to Rock’s frustration.
In a video of the performance, he can be heard saying: “no f*** that, f*** them.”
He then ushered the performers to stop and added: “If you ain't gonna clap we ain't gonna sing, that is how this is going to work.”

This did result in some cheers from the audience and the group began to sing again, with Rock clapping his hands encouraging those in attendance to do the same.
But the clapping died down again, and Rock said: “You know what? F*** y’all. You aint gonna clap? I’m gone.”

He then stormed off stage.
A video has already started spreading on social media with people laying into Rock for walking off stage.

One user Twitter wrote: “Tina he ain’t. They were clapping. Maybe if he packed some energy into that rendition people would’ve gotten more excited."

Another jibed: “That says a lot more about him than the audience. It's not 1998 anymore, what does he expect?”
