Kourtney Kardashian has steered her kids away from McDonald's as she embraces her 'wellness journey.'
As the founder of lifestyle and wellness site Poosh, it's no surprise that Kourtney embraces 'organic products.'
Still, it's kind of heartbreaking to hear that there's no Happy Meals at Kourtney's house.

But she's sure her kids are better for it, as she explained in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, saying that friends like Nicole Richie helped her embrace healthy food for her kids.
"Once I had kids was when I really bumped it up and started taking it more seriously. Nicole Richie really helped. She was one of my only friends who had kids before I did," the Kardashians star explained.
"She was like, 'You have to buy this one book, Super Baby Food, and it was all about making baby food. It taught me about organic products and, honestly, it changed my life on how I started eating. Then it was a snowball effect."

And that snowball effect took out McDonald's in the process, with the reality star describing a recent interaction she'd had with her 12-year-old son, Mason.
"Today I was having my one-on-one time with my son [Mason] and he said, 'Mom, I need McDonald's french fries today, please. It's been a year since I've had it.' I was like, 'Today's not the day, sorry'."
Yep, 'today's not the day,' sounds a lot like what our mum used to say when we drove past McDonald's begging to go in but had food at home in the freezer.

And it seems Kourtney's healthy habits have been in place for some time, as she explained: "When I had Mason is when I really started my wellness journey."
She added that learning about wellness and organic products 'changed my life,' and that "you can't unlearn information, right?"
"By the time I was pregnant with Penelope, I was fully in it and doing different kinds of cleanses — like I did a Panchakarma cleanse. All these different things that I was getting into really changed my life."

And that life-changing knowledge means that not only is McDonald's a no-go but that her kids are wary of other fast food snacks, as Mason tells his mum that 'a person was bad because they let me have Cheetos'.
That's not exactly out definition of a bad person but hey, if it works for them...
