Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have sparked an intense debate after revealing what they allowed their children to do on their vacation in Denmark.
Parents often tend to have their own views on what is and isn’t good for their children - which I mean, that is certainly a good thing right?
However, Kristen Bell has sparked a conversation after making a revelation about her parenting choices in a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel on his late night TV show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The star is married to fellow actor and comedian Dax Shepard, who she has two children with, daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9.
And speaking about the family's trip to Copenhagen, the Frozen star explained her and her husband's approach to 'free-range parenting'.
She told Kimmel: “We stayed at this hotel that was right at Tivoli Gardens.

“The hotel opens up into the theme park and so we just were kind of like, ‘Are we going to free-range parenting and roll the die here?’
“So they woke up at like 6:00 every morning and scanned their bracelets to go outside.
“We didn’t see them for seven hours. [They were] just running around Copenhagen.”
Kimmel further questioned whether the children’s day all went off without a hitch and Bell jokingly quipped back that they are 'both alive' and that everyone 'returned home'.

She also described the freedom she and her Shepard had during that time as ‘heaven’, adding: “We just had coffee, we played Spades, and then around 3:00 we’d be like, ‘Anybody see them?’ And then one of them would run up and need a Band-Aid or whatever.”
However, not everyone on social media was as supportive of this move and questioned whether this was a good idea.
“Totally irresponsible unless they are over the age of 18 years old,” one person commented on Twitter.

Another called it the 'craziest s**t' they'd ever heard, while a third said: "This is actually so dangerous, there’s so many sick people in the world who’d prey on lone children like that, anywhere in the world."
“Sounds like something my parents would never let me do.” a fourth wrote.
However, some people did remark their parents did similar things in the 80s and 90s.
"Sounds like my childhood." one wrote, while a second said: "We did this in the 80s. We ran around town on our bikes all day! No one knew where we were. We were home before it got dark, and my family and friends survived and are still here to talk about it.

"I know times are different now, but personally, if you trust your kids and have raised them to be responsible little people, I see nothing wrong with letting them explore."
UNILAD has contacted Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's representatives for comment.
