Kylie Jenner has been criticised for taking a three-minute flight on her private jet, after posting on Instagram bragging about it over the weekend.
The 24 year-old socialite had captioned a photo of her and her boyfriend, Travis Scott, standing between their private jets: “You wanna take mine or yours?”
Leaving aside the extreme amount of wealth a couple must have to have two private jets to make even the most mundane trips, a good chunk of the world is currently experiencing record-breaking temperatures that point to something of an environmental crisis going on.

The timing of the post therefore wasn't ideal – and people were quick to point out this out.
Most prominently, one Twitter user shared an image from the account CelebrityJets, which tracks celebrities flights taken aboard their private aircraft.
It showed a trip Jenner made on 12 July, which took just three minutes from Camarillo, California to Van Nuys Airport.

"Just remembered how Kylie Jenner uses her private jet to make 3 minute flights," the post was captioned.
In response, one user pointed out that it was only a 40 minute drive between the two destinations.
Meanwhile another user shared the Tweet, writing: "This should be illegal. And the kind of wealth that makes this possible should be taxed to a more reasonable figure."
Someone else wrote: "and yet we supposed to be choking on paper straws."

Others, however, claimed that the flight was more likely to be an empty maintenance flight, made in order to reposition the plane for a longer journey.
On Instagram, though, people were equally annoyed at Jenner's original post.
One user said: “Global warming who?”

A second person commented: "This is why we need to tax the rich."
While another wrote: “This post just called me poor.”
It's unlikely that Jenner or Travis Scott care too much, though, given they seem to make a habit of taking short private flights.
The reality TV star and her partner flew in her Bombardier Global 7500 aircraft with their two children just last month, along with her mother Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble from Calabasas to Palm Springs.

The journey was just 140 miles and took only 30 minutes.
Still, make sure you put all your rubbish in the correct colour bins eh? At the very least you'll be able to pride yourself on your organisation as the world burns.
