Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he is leaving Tinsel Town behind for a better life in Nevada.
The Planet of the Apes actor, now 51, said that he decided to turn his back on Los Angeles in the hope of giving his four children a 'better life'.
Wahlberg explained that, like many, he moved to Tinsel Town to pursue acting, but after more than a decade in his $87.5 million Beverly Hills mansion, he had only made 'couple of movies in the entire time that I was there'.

Speaking on chat show The Talk, Wahlberg said: "I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I've only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there.
"So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us."
The actor currently has four children under the age of 20 with his wife, Rhea Durham, 44 – Ella, 19; Michael, 16; Brendan, 14; and Grace, 12.

Wahlberg also admitted that tax was a motivating factor behind the move and said that they will enable him to establish ventures that weren't possible in Los Angeles.
This includes making a film studio of his own as well as setting up a 'shoe factory' and a 'factory for [his clothing line] Municipal.'
"So we came here to just give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there's lots of opportunity here, so I'm really excited about the future," he said.

"After this gubernatorial election, hopefully we go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get tax credits for the state, build a state of the art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0."
The actor admitted that despite being a Hollywood veteran, he is very much a homebody when he is not on set.
"Every free moment that I have, I'm at home," he said.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Wahlberg spent $14.5 million on a Las Vegas townhome in August – his second purchase in the wealthy area of The Summit Club.

His first was a 2.5 acre plot of land that set him back $15.6 million in July.
Despite having spent so long living in Los Angeles, he described Las Vegas as his 'home town' in August to the Lights, Camera, Vegas show.
"We want to create a lot of jobs, and a lot of excitement. Hollywood 2.0," he said.
