Matty Healy is facing a major backlash after a resurfaced clip saw his admit to watching porn titled 'ghetto gaggers'.
The videos see POC women being submissive to white men, with many having accused the lead singer is ‘fetishizing’ Black women after his comments on The Adam Friedland Show podcast.
During the lengthy interview, Healy made the admission about the adult film.

It was after hosts Nick Mullen and Adam Friedland revealed that they knew someone who accidentally walked in on the musician.
According to the hosts, The 1975 singer had been playing the X-rated movie on O-Led TV and loudspeaker when a woman named Olive went back to retrieve a water bottle.
When quizzed about the awkward moment, he said: “That’s what you text me immediately being like I need the info on this story. Like how psychopathic do you have to be to like airplay porn on the TV?”

Shortly after this, the 'Chocolate' singer confirmed that he’d watched the racially charged porn.
“It was the combination of the fact…you are not exaggerating…it was 30 seconds,” Healy explained, adding: “You guys were still waiting outside… She came back in…I was already flustered.”
It was then that Healy described the scene he was watching, adding that women were being ‘brutalised’ during the hardcore film.

“I think it literally was something like Ghetto Gaggers on the TV,” joked the 34-year-old, adding: “Someone is just like getting brutalised…”
Though he did apologise for the incident, many people on social media have criticised the singer, claiming he fetishized Black women during the podcast.
As the clip resurfaced, it was shared on a Reddit forum with users reacting angrily to his comments.
Having shared the podcast to the platform, the unimpressed user wrote a lengthy post which concluded: “I used to feel ambivalent about Matty and made excuses for him, but that information altered my perception of him permanently so i thought i'd share it.”

Others agreed, with another user adding: “On that same podcast he talked about sliding into Doja's and Ice Spice's DM's. That info coupled with his GG comments got me thinking he's fetishizing black women.”
It’s not the first time the musician has come under fire for his controversial remarks, with the same podcast being removed from Apple’s platform and Spotify.
