One famous face is getting the Cleopatra treatment as they make their way over to the Met Gala, wrapped up in a sheet, and carried by a team of people to hide their identity.

You might have thought the point of the Met Gala was for celebrities to strut their stuff in the most dramatic outfits, but one mysterious icon is keeping their outfit secret until they step onto the red carpet.

They've been spotted getting carried out of their hotel and towards the Met Gala, all wrapped up in a sheet to hide both their outfit and identity.

Many people reckon it's Doja Cat under there, though others thought she might already have made her way out under the cover of a tight formation of umbrellas.

Of course whomever is hidden under wraps there going to such great lengths to hide their identity and outfit must surely mean that they've got one hell of a look to unveil once they arrive.

There might be a famous person in there...

People have dubbed it 'the funniest thing I've ever seen' and beyond the guessing games there's been plenty of support for the mysterious celebrity under there.

Someone else said 'she served idk', while another said that getting 'carried is crazy' while social media was abuzz with people trying to guess who was under all those wrappings.

A team of internet sleuths deduced that 'that bag is for someone really tall' which crossed off a whole list of potential celebrity suspects, or perhaps the length of the package being carried is merely meant to be a deception to throw people off the scent.

Other names thrown around by keyboard detectives include Anna Oxa, while plenty of others thought that the height meant it was Taylor Swift under there.

More people joked that it must be Heidi Klum reviving the infamous worm costume she wore for Halloween last year, since it was long enough to be that.

The cocooned celebrity was carried out of the hotel and onto the Met Gala.

Some folks were less interested in figuring out which celebrity was arriving at the Met Gala under wraps and preferred instead to make jokes.

One person joked that 'Tutankhamun is about to serve', while another suggested it might be 'Logan Roy' from the TV series Succession.

Not everyone was impressed by the dramatic lengths some people would go to in order to reach the Met Gala with their outfit unrevealed, saying 'this is ridiculous'.

If arriving at a prestigious event being carried around under wraps to keep your identity and outfit a secret is wrong then we don't want to be right.
