Mila Kunis reacts perfectly to being booed on Jimmy Kimmel show

Mila Kunis had the perfect reaction to being booed when she went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new movie, Luckiest Girl Alive.

Kunis opened the interview with an embarrassing story that right before going out in front of the cameras she'd realised her outfit for the show didn't include underwear.

She told Jimmy Kimmel she was speaking to him while wearing her publicist's bra, manager's socks and some children's clothes cut into new clothes for her.

It got a big laugh from the audience as Kimmel joked whether the crew members who'd donated the last few pieces of her outfit could come out on stage and get some appreciation for what goes on behind the scenes.

However, the opening joke was quickly forgotten as Kunis ended up joking back and forth with the audience as they started to boo her.

The whole thing started when Kimmel told her she 'could be a New Yorker, but you're not a New Yorker', which the Ukrainian-born Kunis agreed with.

Mila Kunis called out a booing audience member saying: "What? Who booed?"

For some reason, this drew one solitary boo from a member of the audience, prompting the Family Guy star to ask: "What's wrong with your audience? Very New York of you, very New York."

She then got booed a second time after being asked whether she'd had her first pizza in New York, and answering in the negative prompted another wave of boos from the Brooklyn crowd who seemed ready to shout down anything that wasn't from their beloved city.

The star explained that when her family moved to the US her dad actually got a job delivering pizzas, but over on the other side of the country in Los Angeles.

To make matters worse, Kunis said LA had 'perfectly fine pizzas', which drew another round of boos from the audience.

The Brooklyn based audience decided to do a little bit of booing.

Now pretty sure she knew how to play this crowd by now, Kunis told them she was expecting another boo when she said her dad had delivered Dominos Pizza for a living.

The audience obligingly responded to her story with yet another chorus of boos.

Fans of the show thought it was great fun, praising the way the actor riffed with the audience and got into some playful banter with them while not getting upset about the boos.

One person wrote that she 'handled that NY crowd like they were her kids', while another said her time on the show had been a 'delight'.

Someone else claiming to have been in the crowd for the interview commented that they were 'just teasing her', and luckily, Kunis quickly picked up on the jovial nature herself.
