Mindy Kaling has responded to rumours that B.J. Novak is secretly the father of her children.
The actor, comedian, writer and director addressed the rumours in an interview with Marie Claire where she seemed completely unbothered by the speculation.
She said: "It doesn't bother me. He's the godparent to both my kids - and they have such a great relationship."

The pair worked together on the US version of The Office, where Kaling played Kelly Kapoor and Novak played Ryan Howard.
In the show their characters had an incredibly disastrous on-again, off-again relationship throughout the seasons which ends with the two running away together and abandoning Ryan's son Drake.
Kaling and Novak are great friends in real life and like their Office characters they did date on and off for a few years, which has sparked speculation that he's secretly the father of her kids.

Kaling has two children, daughter Katherine born in 2017 and son Spencer born in 2020, and she has taken the decision not to reveal the identity of their father.
She said having the 'choice to have a child by yourself, on your own terms' was the 'best part of my life'.
Naturally, the internet has been speculating as to who the father could be and rumours keep circling round to B.J. Novak as one of the major male figures in her life.
Luckily, she's said the rumours about him possibly being the father of her kids 'hasn't affected my kids or B.J.', joking 'if that's what is going to be titillating to people, I'll take it'.

As for what Kaling's up to these days, she's currently working on her Scooby-Doo spin off Velma, which she's showrunning and directing while also lending her voice to the animated character.
There has been some backlash to the announcement of the show, as some have complained that this version of Velma is going to be of East Asian descent, but Kaling is very unbothered about that.
She's said 'if people freak out about that, I don't care'.

Kaling assured fans the character was in good hands, saying she and everyone involved with the production of Velma would do her justice as 'we really love her'.
Oh, and did you know she also owns a stake in football club Swansea City? That might end up being a useful thing to know for a pub quiz answer someday.
