Julie Bowen has hit back at rumors about her relationship with co-star Sofía Vergara that circulated while they worked together on Modern Family.
Now, no one likes rumors about themselves, and I can imagine they might be particularly annoying if you're a celebrity in the public eye.
Well, Julie Bowen, who is most recognized for her role as Claire Dunphy in the TV show Modern Family, has addressed a longstanding rumor.

It's safe to say Bowen is pretty sick of the rumor, in fact, and after hearing her, I definitely get where she is coming from.
Modern Family is widely considered one of the best shows to grace TV screens between the 2010s, as it ran for 11 seasons between 2009 and 2020.
Fans have continued to remain intrigued about the goings on behind the scenes and who wouldn't be interested... that is kind of what being a fan is about.

But recently speaking on the 90210MG podcast, Bowen addressed a rumor that involved her and cast member Sofía Vergara.
The rumor pretty much alleged that there was tension between the two during the show and neither actress was that fond of one another.
But Bowen has come forward and confirmed that the pair have always been good friends, and called the attempts to convey otherwise ‘ridiculous and crazy’

The actress also dismissed the media outlets that repeatedly tried to pit the two actresses against one another.
She said: “They were determined to pit us against each other, like we hated each other.
“There’s this scarcity mindset that there’s only one woman that can be happy at a time.
“I was like, ’Oh no, I love Sofía. I love how different we are. She is funny and self-effacing and bawdy, and she loves life, and she loves dancing and eating cake and all these things.

“I found it to be really disappointing on the part of the press.”
She concluded that over the years working together neither her nor Vergara fed into the rumors.
Last month, Bowen also wished Vergara a birthday message as the actress celebrated her 52nd on Instagram.

Bowen simply shared a picture of the pair hugging while captioning the photo: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SOFIA!!! I’m sending you a hug with my giant man-arms. I love you!!”
That certainly helps dismiss the outlets and fans that insist the pair can’t stand one another. Another celebrity rumor put to bed, all in a day’s work!
