When Squid Game was released on Netflix, it was such a big hit that YouTuber MrBeast decided to host his own version - only without people getting killed.
Just like the Netflix show, he put 456 people through their paces, with the prize pot growing each time a contestant was eliminated. One lucky winner was set to walk away with $456,000.
It was one of MrBeast's biggest ever videos, though it ended up losing him money as the budget spiralled. He also attracted some controversy for kind of glossing over Squid Game's commentary on poverty and income inequality.

More than five million people watched the video within the first hour, and at time of writing, has attracted over 400 million views.
As for what it'd be like to actually compete in the less lethal version of Squid Game, and win the prize pot, the last man standing has spoken about his experiences.
The lucky, or perhaps very talented, winner was Kam, contestant 079. Kam spotted MrBeast's video trying to attract contestants and commented, 'hey... am I late?', which led to him being selected.

He told YouTuber Jaxx OBrien, who got to the final 30 of the Squid Game, all about his win.
After receiving a 'mysterious phone call' he wasn't sure if what was happening was actually real or some sort of scam. After being reassured that it wasn't a scam, he headed off to compete in the massive YouTube event.
His key to victory was staying confident and not panicking, explaining that when he did the 'red light, green light' game, his mantra was 'pace myself, don't rush, don't run'.
He sailed through the 'cookie game' and tug of war, while Kam said the marble game was 'the most stressful' one he competed in.

The glass bridge game was 'annoying' as Kam was sure people ahead of him were trying to sabotage his efforts to win.
In the end, Kam walked away with a whopping prize pot of $456,000 as the triumphant winner.
As for what he did with his winnings, Kam had a very clear idea what he was going to do with all of that money.

He said: "Since the day I won everyone has been asking that question.
"I'll stick to my answer, I kid you not it's that simple. I literally plan on just helping people. Helping my family most importantly number one, and helping my friends or loved ones who are truly close to me who really mean a lot to me.
"Just giving back to the world, you know. I just love to help people in general, there's nothing wrong with that and allowing people to smile and just be happy. I love to be up, about and energetic, I love to make people's day."
He said he wasn't planning on spending all of the Squid Game winnings as he didn't want to go broke, and planned to 'build for my future', which sounds like an incredibly sensible thing to do.
