People are flooding to social media over Gwyneth Paltrow's reaction to Robert Downey Jr winning an Oscar.
Downey Jr was nominated for the award of Best Supporting Actor for his role in Christopher Nolan's 2023 release Oppenheimer.
And at the 96th Annual Awards ceremony last night (March 10), the actor was revealed as the winner of the award which led to an extremely elated reaction from fellow actor and friend Paltrow who caught up on the action online.
Downey Jr plays the role of retired Naval Reserve officer and high-ranking member of the US Atomic Energy Commission Lewis Strauss in Oppenheimer.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actor, Downey Jr found himself up against Mark Ruffalo for his role in Poor Things, Ryan Gosling for Barbie, Robert De Niro for Killers of the Flower Moon and Sterling K Brown for American Fiction.
However, ultimately, Downey Jr ended up taking the accolade home and one of his Iron Man co-stars was particularly made up over his win.
Paltrow - who starred as Pepper Potts in the Iron Man franchise - took to her Instagram Story to react to news of her friend winning an Oscar.

The video shows Paltrow watching the ceremony on her laptop, zooming in on the screen as the award is being read out and then screaming in delight after hearing Downey Jr's name read out.
The actor then turns the camera towards herself, waving her hands in the air as a woman standing behind her looks slightly bewildered - the woman a member of hair company Highbrow Hippie, according to the New York Post.
She then turns the camera fully in selfie mode and viewers get to see Paltrow with lots of cling film in her air - seemingly getting her roots dyed - glasses on, eyes and mouth wide open, celebrating her friend's win.
The caption of her video read: "@robertdowneyjr takes it!"
