Andrew Garfield's girlfriend has opened up about the abuse she has received for simply dating a celebrity.
Kate Tomas is Spider-Man's new partner, and while there's lots of glitz and glamor that comes with dating a Hollywood actor, there are plenty of downsides too - which she has found out.

Speaking on her podcast The Friday Emails last month, the 42-year-old revealed: "I am in a new relationship, and I’m in love and I’m really happy.”
Of course, if you're dating an A-list celebrity like The Amazing Spider-Man star, you won't need to namedrop who it is because the paparazzi have already snapped you together.
Yes, back in March they were papped together while on a double date with comedian Bo Burnham and singer Phoebe Bridgers, and they've since been 'papped' together in London and Malibu.
Speaking to The Sunday Times she has hit back at the many 'misogynistic' comments she has heard and read about her relationship.

One of the things that gets under her skin is despite her having published a book, created her own podcast and being a self-proclaimed 'spiritual mentor' to many A-list celebrities, her relationship with Garfield now overrides her accomplishments.
Tomas said: “It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man - I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow.”
However, it's not just how people perceive her that upsets her, it is the swarms of paparazzi she meets at every outing.

She continued: “They will take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst."
Tomas told the UK publication that what really depressed her was the 'misogynistic nature of that interest - criticism of how a woman looks, of what [she] does for work'.
It is something she has touched on briefly before on her podcast, explaining that the misogyny from other women online is on another level to anything she has experienced before.

Speaking on the pod, she said: “F**king hell, nothing could prepare me for having literally thousands of women telling me I’m ugly, I’m unattractive, I’m less than in every conceivable way.”
And so she told the Times she had to teach herself to move out of that 'victim space' and to reclaim 'the power that has been taken from you'.
She added: “The most powerful form of psychic protection is knowing who you are and being OK with that.”
