Anyone But You star Sydney Sweeney has shared footage of the moment she was bitten by a Huntsman spider while filming her new movie with Glen Powell.
Rom-coms are often filled with drama, but usually it's will they-won't they relationship issues, embarrassing mishaps and tense arguments - not attacks by massive spiders.
You'd expect those kinds of incidents to be reserved for horror movies, but that wasn't the case with Anyone But You.

Opting against the use of visual effects, the filmmakers brought a real Huntsman spider on to set to work with Powell and Sweeney, who play fake couple Ben and Bea.
In one scene, the pair find themselves face-to-face with the spider, with Sweeney having to act as it crawled up her arm.
Unfortunately, the spider decided to go off-script as it bit the actor while the camera was rolling.
Sweeney recalled the horrific moment during an interview with Jimmy Fallon this week, and even brought along a clip of the attack in action.

"They told me it was trained," Sweeney told Fallon, adding: "I don't know how you train a spider... so we're filming, and then this thing just starts biting me."
The actor explained that she was supposed to be screaming in the scene, but her screams turned 'serious' as the creature sunk its fangs into her arm.
"They thought I was making really serious, dramatic choices in a rom-com," Sweeney recalled. "So no one cut."

The cut footage from the movie shows Sweeney screaming as the spider bit her, shouting: "It's biting me, it's really biting me!"
Oblivious, the crew just continued to watch the scene unfold until Powell realized something wasn't quite right and alerted those behind the camera.
Sweeney's incident had to be written up by a medic on set, who put a lighthearted spin on the incident as she wrote: "Sydney Sweeney... bitten by Spider, now Spiderwoman."

What the medic didn't know at the time was that they weren't too far off with their report, as Sweeney is actually taking on the role of Madame Web in Marvel's upcoming superhero movie.
Though the scene turned out okay in the end, Sweeney admitted at the time that she thought she was 'going to die'.
She wasn't the only one to have such a thought while acting with the spider, as Powell previously admitted he nearly 'almost died' himself as he had to strip off to get the spider out of his shorts.
With all of these close-calls, it's a miracle the actors managed to finish the scene at all!
