Jamie Lee Curtis reunites with True Lies co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger nearly 30 years on

True Lies fans are flooding to social media in excitement after Jamie Lee Curtis shared a photograph of her and co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Curtis and Schwarzenegger starred as couple Harry and Helen Tasker in the 1994 action comedy, written and directed by James Cameron.

And Curtis and Schwarzenegger's recent reunion nearly 30 years on from the film's release has reignited a surge in fans of the movie calling for a sequel.

Curtis shared a photograph to Instagram of the pair at a charity event for After-School All-Stars - a non-profit organisation which works 'to close the opportunity gap for low-income youth'.

Curtis is seen in a German dirndl dress and flower crown and Schwarzenegger in an understated black t-shirt but with a small flower tucked behind his ear, the pair beaming at the camera.

The caption reads: "'Ya,my name is Ingeborg, I'm from Stuttgart.' I LOVE the way my friends suit up and show up for the causes that move their souls and hearts. @schwarzenegger LOVES @afterschoolallstars and I LOVE ARNOLD! THE GOAT! 🐐

True Lies fans have flocked to the post in support of the actors' reunion, thrilled to see Curtis and Schwarzenegger back together again.

One Instagram user said: "I think you mean Doris & Boris."

"True Lies!! One of my faves!!!" another added.

A third commented: "True Lies is my favorite action movie! You guys look great."

And a fourth resolved: "We need a True Lies sequel!!!!!"

And hope may not be completely lost for a sequel to the 1994 hit, with Curtis previously noting she'd definitely be down to do another movie.

In October 2022, the 64-year-old told Entertainment Tonight: "I walked up to him [Schwarzenegger] and was like, 'Dude, why aren't we doing another movie?

"I'm going to call Jim [Cameron] today."

And if there was a sequel, well, Schwarzenegger has made clear he wants to make sure people only refer to Curtis as a 'female lead,' previously expressing a disdain at her being called 'a supporting actress' in the movie.

In October 2022, when the pair last publicly reunited at TCL Chinese Theatre, Hollywood, Schwarzenegger said: "When you go online and you check out Jamie Lee Curtis, you can see all the wonderful things they're saying about her. But there's always one thing that really p*sses me off, and that is when they say that she is a supporting actress in the movie True Lies.

"Because she wasn't supporting - she was the female lead. She was the star. She was starring with me."
