Blake Lively has explained her behavior towards an old co-star after online commenters slammed footage from a previous film of hers.
Lively’s 'disgusting' act while filming A Simple Favor in 2018 has been shared all over again, but this time, it’s being framed in a new light.
If you haven’t watched the flick, it stars Lively, Anna Kendrick, and Henry Golding, a rising star at the time.

The movie centers on a newfound friendship between the women that turns ugly once Lively’s character is exposed for being a murderer.
Anyway, that’s not why people are upset.
The actress is currently undergoing a lawsuit with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, after she accused him of sexual harassment and instigating a 'social manipulation' campaign against her.

Baldoni, who also directed the movie, countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane and Sloane's PR firm, Vision PR.
His suit is based on defamation, civil extortion, 'negligent interference with prospective economic advantage' and 'intentional interference' with contractual relations and the two actors are due to appear in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York March 9, 2026.
However, in the wake of the bombshell suit, Lively’s behavior on the set of her 2018 flick has come into question, and she’s answered why she behaved ‘awkwardly’.
Essentially, it all came to a head when the Gossip Girl star confessed that she improvised a scene where she grabbed her co-star Golding's private parts.

While recording a commentary for the film's Blu-Ray release, she shared how it went down.
The video, showed a clip when Lively’s character Emily Nelson picks on husband Sean, played by Golding.
In the scene, the pair lean in for a kiss and she grabs his penis, with the commentary from Lively stating that she improvised the move as she felt it was something that her character would have done in that moment.

Director Paul Feig then said: “One of my favourite additions you came up with was you grabbed his nuts, and you really went for it too.”
Lively added: “That's always awkward, when you're like, ‘Hey nice to meet you! Can I grab your nuts really hard?’. Not because I want to, because I feel like she would.”
While the way Lively spoke about talking about grabbing his ‘nuts really hard’ when meeting Golding, viewers called into question whether or not she did in fact discuss the move beforehand, or whether she did it spontaneously for the take.
However, Lively did say that she did the gesture because she believed that it was in line with her character, which would explain how the scene came to fruition.

Lawyer and YouTuber @elsrich has also called the consent of the scene into question, leading to viewers to become enraged.
Under her video explaining the scene and the Baldoni case, commenters fumed.
One person wrote: “This is absolutely unbelievable.”
Another stated: “OMG poor Henry looks so uncomfortable. This woman is shameless.”
Someone else asked: “Where was the ‘intimacy coordinator’ lmao.”
