Brooke Shields has gotten really candid about the body issues she has experienced in her lengthy career including alleged comments from a previous partner.
Brooke Shields' memoir is entitled Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, so you can imagine the actress gets knee deep into the perceptions surrounding her looks, image and age during her time in Hollywood.
Her reflection also touches on her ex-husband, tennis star Andre Agassi, and comments she says he made during what should have been an intimate moment.

In fact, she noted that his response to a question she asked him left her stunned and ‘spinning’.
She said: “When I would profess my insecurities to my first husband, he would always say, ‘I wish you could see yourself the way I see you.'”
Which obviously wasn’t the comment that left her taken aback, but rather what he said next.

She continued: “However when I said, ‘Will you still love me if I’m big and fat?’ (I meant once I got pregnant — an unfair question for anybody to ask another person I know!) I could never have expected his response."
He answered: “I love you too much to let you get big and fat!”
Shields said: “I definitely did not see that coming and must admit I started to spin a bit.
“But we all know how that relationship turned out."

For those that don’t quite remember how the relationship turned out, the pair wed in 1997 and were divorcing by 1999.
Shields has two daughters with current husband Chris Henchy, and never had children with the tennis player.
She also recalled a rather bitter comment Agassi allegedly made while the pair were splitting and said she was glad the pair never shared children.
She said that he said: “Be thankful we didn’t have children, because I would not have made this easy for you.

She said: “It would have been a disaster. When we got divorced, he made that very clear.”
As well as this, in her memoir Shields also reflects on a spat she once had with actor Tom Cruise.
In 2005, while promoting his new film, War of the Worlds, Cruise suggested taking antidepressants wasn’t the right choice for Shields in a bizarre rant.

Shields had begun taking them due to her post-natal depression.
She insisted she was happy she stood up to Cruise at the time, writing an op-ed in the New York times. And reflecting on the incident now, she jokes that it was an ‘interesting’ stance from someone without any ovaries.
UNILAD has contacted Andre Agassi representatives for comment.
