Camila Cabello has revealed why she was spotted at the 2024 Met Gala with a block of ice in her hand.
The 27-year-old musician's outfit and accessory choice on the red - or should we say green - carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City yesterday (6 May) has received widespread praise online.
Cabello was spotted taking to the carpet wearing a 250,000 Swarovski crystal gold halterneck dress which she told E! took over 450 hours to make and weighed over 15 pounds. The dress was floor-length with a short train and featured rips from the knee area down.

She paired the look with a blonde-haired up-do and warm glowing makeup, however it was her cool - in more ways than one - clutch which stole the show.
The clutch was made of actual ice and in the middle held a metallic rose.
The 'I LUV IT' singer and her stylist Jared Ellner collaborated with designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Cabello has since explained what her and the design's interpretation of the theme - 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' with the official dress code being 'The Garden of Time' - meant to them and the meaning behind the accessory's icy form.

In an interview with Extra TV, Cabello reflected she thinks 2024's theme was 'about impermanence and things decaying over time'.
"And the beauty in that," she continues. "So there's kind of rips towards the ends of my dress."
The singer revealed her ice block was 'literally melting' showing reporters her hands - very much wet and cold.
Cabello added: "What's crazy is I've kind of been telling everybody is it was a purse, but it broke like five minutes into being in line, so I called my stylist and was like, 'What do I do?'

"I was like f**k it, I'll take it as a clutch. So we're just trying things here, that all we're doing."
She added to Variety the look was also a nod to her upcoming album C, XOXO which is currently set for release on 28 June.
"Miami, we're dripping [...] we're icy but we're melting," she said. "I am ice cold."

One X user said: "MY QUEEN."
"Oh applause," another added.
A third commented: "I luv I luv it I luv it."

A fourth wrote: "Oh that’s innovative asf I wasn’t expecting her to something like that."
