The microphone Cardi B threw at a fan is now selling for tens of thousands on eBay, with the proceedings going to charity.

It's safe to say that performer/fan interaction at concerts has recently come under the spotlight after a phone was thrown at singer Bebe Rexha, leaving her with a serious cut to her eye back in June.

A month later, in a series of less serious incidents, admittedly, Drake was hit by a collection of large bras on stage.

Yeah, I can't imagine him being too upset with that one.

But now, it seems that the tables have turned after Cardi B's performance of ‘Bodak Yellow’ in Las Vegas on 29 July was interrupted when an audience member threw their drink at the star.

The rapper was not happy at all and responded by launching her mic at the suspect.

And only 24 hours before that, she’d thrown her microphone at a DJ as well.

What's going on?

Well, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department later confirmed that a show attendee had come forward to 'report a battery'.

"According to the victim, she was attending an event on July 29, 2023, at a property located in the 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard," the Las Vegas police said in a statement.

"During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage."

So, with all that's going on, the owner of the mic, made by audio production company The Wave in Sin City, has thrown it back into an auction.

Scott Fisher told TMZ: "It was pretty easy to track down the mic after the show, because the white tape across the bottom of it says 'MAIN', and it still works despite Cardi chucking it into the crowd."

The starting bid on the eBay listing, which was $500, is currently up for a whopping $25,300.

Scott says the mic originally cost $1,000.

At the time of writing, there are six days and six hours left on the auction, so the price is expected to go up even more.

"This is the Shure microphone shown in all the viral videos that Cardi B threw at a person in the crown at Drais Beach Club on July 29th 2023," the seller said.

"There are literally tons of links to videos all over the internet. You can see in the videos the white tape across the bottom."

UNILAD has contacted Cardi B and LVMPD for comment.
