Charli D’Amelio has been slammed after posing as a Walmart cashier.
The influencer - who was formerly the most followed person on TikTok until she was unseated last year - recently posted a video to promote her new product, 'Be Happy Snacks Popcorn', along with sister Dixie.
In the video, Charli is seen wearing the infamous blue Walmart vest while stocking shelves and scanning her new popcorn brand at the cash register.

It’s giving Kylie and Kris Jenner shopping for groceries themselves for ‘fun’.

However, the promotional video has met with swift backlash, with many accusing the star of mocking Walmart workers.
One user wrote: “Omg cosplaying as the working class is so silly.”
Another said: “I wish these people could just NOT be famous and live like how everyone ELSE does. To see how hard it really is.”
A third commented: “Ahhh... the smell of privilege.”

While another noted: “Playing working class for the day!!! So cute and quirky, definitely not weird and out of touch!!”
However, some fans were quick to defend the clip.
One commented: “It’s not that big of a deal. This coming from a Walmart employee, lol. It’s a TikTok trend and a sponsorship deal that sells those snacks in our store.”
While another said: “On my way to Walmart.”

However, this isn’t the first time the social media star has been accused of being tone-deaf.
In 2020, Charli’s followers dropped from 99.5 million to 98.5 million in a matter of hours, following remarks she made in an episode of her family’s show, The D'Amelio Show.
In the episode, Charli and Dixie, their parents, and make-up guru James Charles were served dinner by their chef, Aaron May, when the D'Amelio siblings turn their noses up at May’s cooking.

May explained to the group: “It's classic paella, and it’s actually an omen of good luck and fortune.”
Charli immediately calls him a ‘liar’, while Dixie is seen gagging over the dish.
After the TikToker was inundated with hateful messages, she addressed the controversy.
“You can hate on me for whatever I've done but the fact that all of this is happening because of a misunderstanding," she said in a video.
“I just feel like that's not okay. If this is the community that I've put myself in, I don't know if I want to do that anymore."
Dixie also took to social media to defend her behavior: “I love Chef, and I would never disrespect him in any way, and maybe don't judge someone's personality over a 15-second video.”
