The family of 1923 star Cole Brings Plenty have confirmed that the actor has died at the age of 27.
Cole's father, Joe Brings Plenty Sr., issued a statement on behalf of himself and the rest of the family announcing the tragic news.
It was shared to Instagram by the young actor's uncle, with the statement reading: "I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us.

"We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole.
"We would also like to thank everyone who came to walk beside us as we searched for my son and provided the resources we needed to expand our search areas. I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole’s heart and loved him.
"During this incredibly difficult time, we ask for privacy as we process our grief and figure out how we move forward.

Cole's cause of death currently remains unknown and investigations are ongoing.
The 1923 actor's family had raised the alarm about his disappearance earlier this week.

The 27-year-old was last seen on March 31, the same day that Kansas police had issued an affidavit for his arrest relating to a domestic violence incident.
In a statement issued on April 2, the Lawrence Kansas police department confirmed they were looking for Cole.
They said: "Officers responded to reports of a female screaming for help, but the suspect fled before officers arrived.
"The investigation identified Brings Plenty and traffic cameras showed him leaving the city immediately after the incident, travelling southbound on 59 Highway.

"This incident involves allegations of domestic violence, which limits the amount of information we can share to protect the victim."
On Friday morning, Cole's body was discovered in a wooded area by the Johnson County Sheriff's department.
Fans have taken to social media to offer their condolences and express their grief.

One commenter wrote: "Ohhh noooo this hurts my heart. I’m so terribly sorry. He walks with the spirits of his ancestors now. They will watch over him as he watches over you. Sending prayers of peace to all who knew and loved him."
Another admirer said: "All my Love and prayers to the family. Cole was a diamond in the rough. I loved him. May his journey to the other world be a good one. We will visit with him later on.."
Cole rose to prominence for his role as Pete Plenty Clouds in 1923, the spin-off show to Yellowstone, which stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
He also made appearances in series such as Into The Wild Frontier and The Tall Tales Of Jim Bridger.
