A comedian has left the internet divided after making a brutal Matthew Perry joke following the actor's recent death.
Comedian Hans Kim wasn't holding back while performing in Texas.
Kim, who posted a clip of his set of TikTok, said onstage: “Sad to hear that the great Matthew Perry died alone in a hot tub.

"For a guy on a show called Friends, he could have used a couple.”
The audience laughed, although a couple of audible groans could be heard from the crowd.
However, he didn't stop there.

While referring to the iconic fountain scene from the beloved sitcom, which showed Perry splashing in water, Kim says: “Who knew the opening credits (of Friends) were his cry for help?”
The clip, called 'RIP Matthew Perry', viewed over 270,000 times, left many unimpressed.
One person wrote: "Too soon."
Another said: "Hans Kim is a savage."

A third commented: "I just watched a sad memorial video and scroll down to this [sad face emoji]."
While another said: "This is despicable."
However, some defended the performer, as one shared: "It's never too soon."
While another wrote: "RIP Matthew Perry; this joke probably gave him a smile; he had a good sense of humour."

Perry died on October 28 at the age of 54 after being found in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home.
His cause of death has been deferred pending the results of a toxicology report.

Following his death, heartfelt tributes poured in, including a joint statement from his former co-stars, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.
"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” they told PEOPLE.
"There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.
"In time we will say more, as and when we are able.
"For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
