Lawyer claims hotline he set up for Diddy abuse allegations received 12,000 calls in 24 hours

Lawyer claims hotline he set up for Diddy abuse allegations received 12,000 calls in 24 hours

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering

A lawyer who has taken Diddy’s prosecution case has revealed that a hotline he set up has had overwhelming results in just 24 hours.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently in jail, having been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering after being arrested on September 16.

The music mogul is currently fighting allegations of abuse against hundreds of people during his career, and hit back via his lawyer when 120 people came forward since his arrest.

In a statement, his attorney Erica Wolff said to UNILAD: “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.

“That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors."

“He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”

But it seems as though he has a lot more allegations to fight after a lawyer on the case revealed that 12,000 people came forward with claims within 24 hours of launching a hotline against the rapper.

Tony Buzbee, the lead attorney in the upcoming suits against the disgraced rap star, has said at least 25 of the plaintiffs were minors at the time.

He shared that these suits would bring brand new and shocking revelations, as well as details of Diddy’s alleged sexual assault of a nine-year-old child, as well as the assault of a pregnant woman.

Not only can the public expect to hear the horrific details of his alleged crimes, but also be told of high-profile celebrities who were in cahoots with the rapper.

When speaking to Law & Crime, he expressed just how many people have come forward since he announced that they were setting up a landline for tips, and why he thinks so many people have spoken out.

Tony thinks that it was the series of events during the investigation and arrest that led to people feeling safe to tell their story.

He said that it was after the ‘arrest occurred and then when bail was denied I think those events led to more and more calls’.

He explained: “When I made an announcement that that I was going to pursue these cases the floodgates really opened. In about a 10-day period we got 3,200 calls and then from the press conference we had yesterday, we've had 12,000 calls since- I guess- in about 24 hours.”

Because he’s had so much response to his request for information, he now has the ‘Herculean task is to try to sift through every one of these calls and make sure that that we are identifying those who are victims and those who are witnesses.’

From then, they will need to ‘collect evidence’.

The task is going to be enormous for the lawyer.

He shared: “We have about almost a hundred people working on this task.

The 120 that we announced yesterday, those are claims that we could file right now against Sean Combs, but we're trying to make sure that when we file the cases- and they're going to be filed on an individual basis- that we include every potentially liable party.”

Now, these parties include those who benefited from Diddy’s alleged crimes, whether they watched, participated, profited from or provided the venue for it to occur.
