Why four more high-profile celebrities were mentioned in Diddy’s trial amid testimony by Cassie

Sean 'Diddy' Combs is currently on trial for a handful of federal charges in the wake of his arrest last year

More famous faces have been named in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ongoing trial.

The music mogul's trial began on Monday (May 12) as he faces several charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, accusations which he has repeatedly denied and pleaded not guilty.

So far, the trial has seen his ex-girlfriend, Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, take the stand.

The 38-year-old dated Diddy, 55, on-and-off for over a decade and has alleged that she was subjected to years of abuse during this time, including being made to take part in the rapper's so-called 'freak off' parties.

Several celebrities have been named in the trial so far, including Kid Cudi — who had a brief romance with Ventura during a break in her relationship with Combs — Michael B. Jordan, Kanye West, and Suge Knight.

The celebrities named haven't been accused of any wrongdoing; however, jurors were notified that they might possibly be mentioned in the trial.

And now more high-profile stars have been named following yesterday's proceedings (May 15).

Dallas Austin and Britney Spears

Speaking on the stand, Ventura said that Britney Spears and Dallas Austin were brought to her 21st birthday party by Combs.

"Sean was there, and he brought Dallas Austin, Britney Spears. I think those were the two people that stand out to me," she said on the stand, as per Page Six.

There are pictures of Austin and Spears with Ventura and Diddy at the Honey 3 actress' birthday party. Spears was seen wearing a trilby hat and a silk dress, while record producer Austin was snapped in a yellow t-shirt, statement chain necklace and sunglasses.

Ventura was celebrating her milestone birthday at Jet Nightclub in Las Vegas on the night in question.

Bruce Willis was also named yesterday. Die Hard star Willis was referred to regarding a text message allegedly sent between Ventura and Diddy in 2013.

The message is believed to have read: "As much as you think you’re Bruce Willis, you aren’t.

"He’s married and before he was married the family as a whole went on trips together or just him and his woman."

Eddie Murphy

The text then reportedly went on to name drop Eddie Murphy and his now-wife Paige Butcher.

"Eddie Murphy and Paige took his kids away on their own," it read. "I’ve been at the edge of tears all week. I don’t think you sympathise with my feelings. They have never known you and Kim [Porter] together."

Porter, who passed away in 2018, shares three children with Diddy: a son and twin daughters. He shares another daughter with businesswoman Sarah Chapman and a son with Misa Hylton. His youngest child, Love Sean Combs, was born to Dana Tran in 2022.

Diddy's trial is expected to go on for eight to 10 weeks, NBC News reports.
